An Enchanting Monthly Reflection Ritual
My invitation to sit with your becoming.
There is something quite empowering about pausing at the threshold of a new month. Not rushing forward. Not immediately setting goals or chasing the next bloom… but instead, taking a moment of reflection towards what unfolded.
Over the past months, I’ve begun a personal ritual. One that feels equal parts grounding, revealing, at times unexpectedly amusing, and at other times forcing mind-body-and-soul numbing realizations. I don’t know about you, but this year has been quite an interesting journey for me, and looking over things helps me realize so SO much.
I keep a journal where I write about my days, add photos or other treasures. I track how I feel mentally, physically, spiritually, socially, energetically, etc.
Then at the end of each month, I sit down and reflect on my life as it actually was, not how I planned it to be. (because lets be honest, life never really goes as planned…)
As I go through the pages, I keep an eye out for any patterns, repeating themes, or little whispers that kept returning until I finally listened.
And now… I would love to invite you to join me.
This is your gentle nudge to sit with your own life for a moment.
You can do this privately, curled up with your journal, a warm drink, and your thoughts.
Or, if you feel called, you can share your reflections in the comments. I love seeing the threads that connect us. It’s always fascinating to notice where our experiences overlap, like little echoes across the coven.
There is no right or wrong way to do this. Only your way. I’m going to share the framework I’m currently using. Take what resonates. Leave what doesn’t. Add your own magic to it.
If you do add something of your own… I would absolutely love for you to share it!
An Example Guide for Your Ritual.
Remember, this is a Living Ritual. This practice is not about perfection. It’s about giving yourself the opportunity to explore and learn about you, your energies, and how you move through life, every single month. Sometimes the lesson is loud. Sometimes it whispers. And sometimes it just… sits there, waiting until you’re ready. And that’s okay.
Here’s what I ask myself. You can go in the same order, or switch things around. Or create your own tailored specifically to what you want it to be.
What I Followed & What Followed Me
I start by noticing my natural gravitations. What music I couldn’t stop playing, foods I craved, colors I surrounded myself with, places I felt called to, and so on. The simple mundane things that people usually let pass by without notice. (I also make note of what I willingly chose to “follow” and what has “followed” me against my will lol.)
Then I gently ask… why? What do these things symbolize? What energies do they carry? What might they be reflecting back to me?
My Inner State
Then, I take an unfiltered look of my inner state. This is where honesty comes in (the kind we don’t sugarcoat). I reflect back on my moods, and if there was anything that was lasting for longer than usual. As well as my health, motivation, and anything else that might have been new, or stood out in a specific way. I use a tracker app on my phone for these. It’s quicker, I don’t have to re-write all the things I track, and the app is able to give me automatic statistics for how I’ve been filling them out.
Don’t be looking at things through “rose-tinted” lenses, no jumping to conclusions, and absolutley no judging. Just witnessing. And yes, I know that’s a lot harder to do than to talk about... But you can get there with practice and patience. (again… easier said than done… I know…)
Signs & Synchronicities
Next, I look at subtle threads the universe is sharing with me. Those that only a few have the knowledge and experience to notice (ps, if you’re reading this, you’re probably aware of of some already!).
For example, specific repeating numbers (hello, 444 👀), recurring tarot cards, dreams that lingered, unusual or meaningful moments (like a butterfly deciding I was its chosen one for the day).
These are the quiet nudges, the “hey… pay attention to this” moments.Astrological Influences
I take note of any significant astrological events that may have shaped the energetic landscape of the month or specific days. I’ve spoken about this before in some of my previous youtube videos, and during our book coven gatherings. I have a separate journal where I mark down specific moments throughout the day. If I can’t get to my journals, I make notes in my phone (I do have a tendency to forget some things… adhd and all… 🙈)
I don’t see this as something that controls me, but as something that converses with me. I especially like to track the moon cycle, and if there are any major planetary shenanigans happening. As a human who menstruates, it’s also interesting to watch how my cycle is aligned with the phases of the moon.

Mundane Moments
I also try not to forget the human moments we all go through. Because let’s be real… Life is not just deep revelations and spiritual downloads, quantum leaps etc etc… In fact, those do not happen that often, but they do get talked about extensively they do! (and they end up happening in clusters, and usually, with quite a significant life impact).
Our mundane moments can be awkward situations, things that went very wrong (or very right!), moments that made no sense at the time (and still barely do), and moments that were full of love and laughter. All of those deserve a place in your story too.
Connecting the Dots
This is where everything comes together. All those moments I just listed should not be panic driven and written down at the last minute. You should take a moment to jot down some observations throughout the month (best to do a mini reflection every day) but at least once a week will be sufficient so that you wont miss out on the small details.
Then at the end of the month (or sometimes within the first week of the following month because lets be real… life…) I look at all of it, the patterns, the signs, the moods, the chaos…and I ask: What was the theme of this month? What was it trying to teach me?
This part is intuitive. Be patient with yourself and set up some time and space so you’re not rushed. It’s less about figuring it out, and more about letting it reveal itself.
These reflection days became a staple in my grounding rituals. I light candles, play my favorite music, and just give myself a little TLC. I like to use my time efficiently lol, so I usually do a hair mask, and often redo my nails while I let my mind ponder over the patterns I’ve noticed.
None of my reflection rituals followed a formal ceremony-style ritual. All very casual. I make notes, doodle, pull additional cards or runes for more guidance if needed, and just follow my intuition as I reflect. There’s no perfect “finish line” or time frame. I don’t try to get a specific result. I just go with the flow.
As with all my living rituals, things tend to shifts and evolve as I do. If my format drastically changes for whatever reason, I’ll be sure to let you know.
I do hope you’ll join me on this magickal journey so we can explore our shadow sides together.
With Love ~
